Shadow Along is a small pilot coaching service for adults 18 and over. This page says, in plain language, what a lawyer still needs to review and rewrite before the pilot opens to real people.

We collect your name, phone number, time zone, language, the name and picture you pick for your Shadow, the answers you choose to give in the Focus Profile, the messages you exchange, and simple notes about which coaching ideas helped. We use that to send check-ins, reply when you write, and learn what works for you. The contact file is created when you ask for it. The phone number in that file is the shared pilot line.

If messaging is turned on, Twilio carries the WhatsApp message. Text messages are off unless the owner turns that channel on. If an AI key is turned on, the selected provider (xAI Grok, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI) receives the coaching prompt, which includes your profile summary and recent messages, so it can write a reply. In demo mode, messages stay on this app and a built-in script writes the replies. No message is sent to those companies.

Calendar and email are optional. If you connect Google, we store an encrypted login token and a short cache of today's event titles and times, plus email sender, subject, and a short preview. We use that to shape check-ins, suggest a to-do, and, only after you text ADD, create a focus event. We do not send, delete, or change email. Disconnecting in Settings deletes the token and that cache. A lawyer still needs to review this paragraph before the pilot opens.

We do not sell your information. The pilot is for about 20 to 30 people. Access to the dashboard is limited by a password the owner sets.

Shadow Along keeps your Focus Profile, the name and picture you chose for your Shadow, your language, your schedule, your consent, and what it has learned, until you explicitly delete everything. Pause, stop, a lapsed $15 plan, and cancellation keep that information. If you come back, Shadow picks up where you left off.

Shadow Along is not a medical service. Do not send information you would only tell a doctor. If a message looks like a crisis, the app replies with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and flags it for the pilot owner to see. That flag is not a rescue service and not monitoring in real time.

Quiet hours and a day off limit coaching texts. They do not stop you from texting 988 or calling emergency services.

RESET, by text or in Settings, clears the coaching approaches Shadow has learned and starts fresh. It keeps your Focus Profile answers, your Shadow's name, your language, your schedule, and your consent, and it tells you what was kept. Redo my Focus Profile is a separate choice. It lets you answer the profile again. It does not erase what Shadow has learned, your name, your language, your schedule, or your consent.

STOP unsubscribes you and halts further messages. That is what the law requires. Shadow sends one confirmation, then does not send check-ins or coaching. Your profile and what Shadow has learned stay. Text START if you want messages again.

DELETE ALL, by text in English, Spanish, or Hebrew, or from Settings, asks you to reply YES before anything is erased. After you confirm, Shadow permanently erases your profile, messages, what it has learned, connected-account tokens, and the Stripe customer link where Stripe allows it, then sends one final confirmation. After that, Shadow keeps only an opt-out record, which is the phone number and the time, so that number is not messaged again without a new opt-in, and a deletion log with no message content, no profile, and no name. If you live in California, you can ask for this deletion. DELETE ALL is how this pilot handles that request. A lawyer still needs to review this paragraph before the pilot opens. Messages already delivered to your phone stay in your phone's messaging app.
